Meiravi Quartet

Meiravi Quartet

The Meiravi Quartet’s impressive individual resumes contribute to the Quartet’s rich musicality and vibrant sound. The Quartet is unusual, not only because of its composer-in- residence, Peter Nocella, but also because the group is experienced in playing both the classical and contemporary repertoire. Often music from a variety of genres may be offered including jazz, popular, folk, and world music: a tango from Argentina, a Gershwin song, a folk song from the Inuits, or a Chinese lullaby. Every performance will include some musical surprises—and at least one work by an American composer.

Public Concerts
The Meiravi Quartet performs publicly at such venues as UPENN’s Amado Recital Hall, Hall of Flags, and the AVA Recital Hall.

Private Concerts
A specialty of the quartet is that, upon request, we will perform concerts at a private residence or selected venue. On such occasions Dr. Nocella provides entertaining remarks on the quartet’s program.
